The inter-island DO, established 2011, covering wines made from grapes from multiple Canary Islands. This allows producers to blend across island DOs and gives flexibility for island-hopping cuvées. Less commonly seen than the individual island DOs but worth knowing exists.
Some producers use this DO for experimental blends or for wines using minority varieties that don't meet the individual island DO requirements.
