The quietest of Tenerife's five DOs. Located on the eastern slopes between the Guimar depression and the Atlantic. Warm days, cool nights, altitude between 200m and 800m. White wines from Listan Blanco are the main output -- fresh, light, with Atlantic salinity.
Less complex than Orotava or Tacoronte, but honest Atlantic whites at accessible prices. The terrain is dramatic -- the Guimar valley itself has an almost otherworldly landscape.
